Lillian Szpak MA Leadership RRU

I am a mother and grandmother and I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Bob, for the past 47 years. We first moved to Langford in 1993 from Lahr Germany. We have two grown sons, who both attended Belmont High School and happily, live nearby. In the past I have worked in healthcare administration and have a teaching background. You've probably seen me cycling around Langford because it's the way I like to get around. My husband and I enjoy walking from one end of Langford to the other and love that all the shops and parks are all around us. I have been working for our beautiful and growing community since I was first elected to council in 2002. My priority is to bring the community's voice to the table. We are at a crossroads in our growth, Langford residents are development weary. We need to hit the pause button and consult with our community about a strategic plan for the future. You have put your trust and faith in me: you depend on me to make decisions for a liveable, safe and affordable community. My job is to deliver services that you want and deserve. I work in the spirit of collaboration, listen deeply and try my best to make City Chambers a welcoming and respectful place to speak out. I know that we all want Langford to be a community where our children and grandchildren will stay and live and thrive!
